3-Ingredient Berry Frozen Yogurt

Frozen-Yogurt-Pomegranate-BlueberryHappy 4th of July!

As many of us will be indulging in some good ‘ole American style bbq not to mention delicious sides; I wanted to share a quick healthy dessert that both the kiddos and adults will truly enjoy. I’d like to think of it as a balancing of the holiday meal. Best part of all, it takes seconds to make.

The key to this recipe is the frozen organic pomegranate and blueberries I scored at Costco. Talk about a mess-free pomegranate recipe. The work is all ready done for you as the bag contains ready to serve and eat pomegranate arils. Score!

Frozen-Yogurt-Pomegranate-BlueberrySo how do you make this delicious treat?

Add the frozen pomegranate arils to a dessert glass. Top with organic vanilla yogurt. Followed by the frozen blueberries. I use a 1:1 ratio for all three ingredients. That’s it! The frozen fruit will turn your yogurt into frozen yogurt within seconds. Super colorful, delicious and healthy.Frozen-Yogurt-Pomegranate-Blueberry

P.S. Did you know pomegranate arils provide a great source of vitamin C, fiber and they’re also known for their unique antioxidants and polyphenols? I think this is my new favorite fruit to eat. And I may be going a little overboard with it as I’ve been adding them to our breakfast, salads, smoothies and snacks! So good. 🙂
