Sometimes signs (in this case a text message) from up above come at the most appropriate time of the year. The below text message from a friend made me realize that the holidays are meant for giving thanks and truly appreciating everything we have but most importantly to make sure we pay it forward by giving back to those that are in dire need.
“My friend Belinda lost her amazing little girl, Paris, to Cancer this past October. She’s honoring her daughter by paying forward all the love and support she received while Paris was sick. Belinda was recently introduced to Marleny, an 11 year old who was diagnosed with Leukemia and is currently undergoing Chemo. Due to Marleny’s medical bills, her family is unable to provide Christmas gifts for her and her siblings. Belinda is trying to gather donations to purchase this beautiful little girl and her family a Christmas tree, gifts and food for a Christmas Eve/ Christmas Day dinner.”
Marleny Bailon, needs our help. She’s only 11 years old and battling with this horrible disease. I can not imagine what her parents are going through. My heart aches for Marleny and her family. I remember I would always say “someday I’ll donate” but that someday was today. Can you also make your someday be today for Marleny?
