With Valentine’s Day around the corner, I couldn’t wait to start decorating our home and mark the start of the 2023 holidays. Since our dining room is the first room our friends and family enter and gather around, it only made sense to start decorating there first. I thought it would also be fitting to have a brunch to celebrate the holiday. Today, I’m sharing my 7 sweet and simple tips for a Valentine’s Day brunch that will inspire you to create your own sweet space and more importantly that you’ll love entertaining in.
Tip #1: Choose A Statement Piece
When I think of decorating for Valentine’s Day, a few items come to mind: hearts, roses, candles, and everything in the shade of red. But how does one tie it all in without it looking cluttered? For this Valentine’s Day brunch, I went with a large modern white vase along with beautiful pink faux flowers and a gold love sign as my statement piece. Tip #2: Heart-shaped Waffle Board
During a visit to Dallas, Texas, last year we stayed at a hotel that served pancake boards. It was one of the most delicious and fun ideas we’ve seen yet. Besides a heart-shaped waffle board, include additional heart-shaped food items to your menu such as a homemade heart-shaped cake. The kids had so much fun helping me bake and decorate the cake for our brunch.
