My heart is heavy. The recent Los Angeles wildfires remind us how much we pour into our homes to make them sanctuaries. For so many, a home is more than just a place to live—it holds our memories, our dreams, and the love we share with those closest to us.
We are incredibly grateful to be safe. But so many of our friends are still battling the fires, facing displacement, or dealing with the heartbreaking loss of everything they’ve worked so hard to build.
Families have lost not just homes but also childhood memories, roots, and, in many cases, generational wealth passed down through decades. For those who worked tirelessly to save and buy their homes, the loss is immeasurable.
The impact ripples beyond homeowners—landscapers, gardeners, housekeepers, and so many others who relied on these homes and communities for their livelihoods are now out of work, adding another layer of hardship.
Through it all, our first responders have been true heroes—risking their lives and working tirelessly to protect our communities. It’s also heartwarming to hear stories of strangers and neighbors stepping up to help one another.
The road to recovery will be long, and the support needed in the weeks and months ahead will be immense. If you’re able to help in any way, I’ve linked organizations below that are assisting those affected. Every bit helps. 💔
Being born and raised in Southern California, and now raising my own little familia here, seeing our community unite during this unimaginable time means everything. LA Strong! 💪🏽
