HIDDEN PARADISE COVE SUNSET PHOTO
The Best Hidden Beach on Oahu—Paradise Cove (Lanikuhonua Beach) Like every other beach in Hawaii, Paradise Cove is a public beach. It is located in Kapolei, right next to the Four Seasons Resort at Ko Olina. The best part? It’s just a quick walk from the Aulani resort. We learned about this from our Flytographer Photographer Daniella, who is a local and did an amazing 60 min shoot for our family.
HOW TO GET THERE
Once you’re at the Aulani resort, walk towards the beach. Make a right and follow the walkway to the Four Seasons Hotel. Walk through the resort and head to the ocean off to the right. You’ll see a small rocky and sandy trail. Take that to the right and head to the hidden beach.
Be sure to book an amazing local photographer from Flytographer for your next trip! Use code GLADYS50 valid $50 off towards a shoot or gift card until December 31, 2020.
It’s no surprise Aulani has some of the best pools, water slides, lazy river and splash zones we’ve been to. Waikolohe Pool is Aulani’s main pool, situated beside the resort’s beachfront cove is a zero-entry pool. It’s a fun spot to swim and splash together as a family. It has a beautiful view of the volcanic vertical water slide. Ka Maka Grotto is an infinity edge family pool overlooking Ko Olina Beach. Two words, Breathtaking views!
Ka Wa’a – This luau is located inside Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa. Advanced reservations are required. It’s a show you do not want to miss! Plus, be sure to take a family photo with cast members prior to show start time.
There are cast member photographers all over Aulani (mostly at character meet and greet locations) who will take photos for you. They will give you a PhotoPass card with a barcode to track your photos. Look them over in your hotel room or via PhotoPass site, Disney app.
KO OLINA BEACH
Snap some beautiful family photos soaking up the sun, ocean breezes and playing in the sparkling waters of Ko Olina beach.
Aulani cast members are located in front of Makahiki buffet restaurant to take photos of your family with a character. You can purchase those photos during your character dining experience or via the PhotoPass site.
DISNEY AULANI FOOD
We could probably do an entire blog post on this subject alone but at the top of our list, a Mickey snow cone and Dole Whip! Be sure to grab one of the cute tropical drinks you enjoyed and delicious food you found at the resort restaurants.
Find this cute Stitch statue near Auntie’s beach house (Complimentary Kids Club). Perfect photo opp.
WALKWAY THROUGH LAZY RIVER
Every walk way around the lazy river is truly beautiful. With plenty of greenery and views and less crowds.
This is probably one you wouldn’t consider but the hotel lobby alone is beautiful. Plus it has a breathtaking view as you walk onto the balcony area facing the ocean.
